Hello Neighbors,
We have great new opportunities within our neighborhood to participate in the Little Free Library Initiative. We are appreciative of a generous grant from the Greater Milwaukee Foundation and are pleased to unveil 4 new Little Free Libraries within the Sherman Park neighborhood.
Reading is important and children who have access to books are encouraged to read more. The idea of the Little Free Libraries is to “Take a Book and Return a Book”. We also encourage you to “Share the books” with others. We would like for you to feel free to place children’s books in the Little Free Libraries as well as take books to read.
The types of books recommended are for children under 16 years of age. We hope you enjoy this opportunity to engage in books. Spread the word and encourage others to use the Little Free Libraries as well. You will notice the additional Libraries in the Sherman Park Neighborhood. Please make a commitment to use the Little Free Libraries and help keep them running in a decent manner.
Center Street Marketplace (BID 39) is in place to improve the image of Center Street. Our boundaries are from 32nd and Center to 60th and Center.
